I previously mentioned on our blog that Brenda does a volunteer monthly card making class at a nursing home in Tarboro, NC. Each month, she has anywhere from 5-10 participants. We’re a team on these classes because even though I can’t be there, I design the cards and get everything ready to go for them and then ship it off to Brenda (I’m in Charleston, SC – she’s in Tarboro, NC). I have had the opportunity to go to one of their classes when I was visiting Brenda last December.
No, all of their supplies are not Stampin’ Up!T but they are starting to build their collection.
Brenda sent me a couple of pictures from this month’s class. As you can see, some of the ladies have the counselors help them with their cards. Each month, they let us know what theme they want their next month’s cards to be and we do our best to accommodate. They each make at least three designed cards and if they have time, they do a “free for all” where they take leftovers and design their own cards. It’s fabulous seeing what they come up with.
Here’s a shot of the three cards they made this month.

Having worked as the Medical Record Director at our local nursing home for several years, I know how important classes like this are and I think it’s wonderful that Brenda offered to do them and that you help her get ready for them. I am sure the class each month gives them something to look forward to which is so important.
LOVE the cards you made this month.
I don’t really want to go to a nursing home (YET), but if I could make cards like that it might be worth it. ROFLOL
Thanks for sharing.
