Hello all – hope you have enjoyed your day, as much as we have!
Today, we bring you a card that we CASEd by mugsie over at SCS. We fell in love with this card and decided that we had to have one too. As you can see, we are still in the “Kraft” mode!
This was a really simple and fun card to make and I think, it is my favorite thus far. I just LOVE the embossing and don’t that snow look real? YES, Lianne had to cut out my little bird – what else is new! Maybe one day, I will be able to cut out goodies, but in this case “practice may not make me perfect.”
Lianne did the card on the left and I did the one on the right. I had a little problem with the stamped snowflakes on the top edge of my card, so I just added some more white embossing powder to the edge of the card and voila, it looks like it was meant to be. There are no errors in card making, just new opportunities to embellish.
Here’s a close up shot that shows the little red bird, which we popped up with a small bit of dimensionals. Nothing flat about this card.
The stamp sets that we used are very versatile. Lianne and I talked about the other occasions that it could be used for, such as: Spring – add flowers, Fall – add leaves, etc. The sentiments in the Short & Sweet stamp set can be used for many different events.
Join us again tomorrow, as we plan on doing a fabulous holiday punch card.

How did you do the snow? Love this card! Love your blog! So glad I found it.
The papers were torn and we used the Versamarker and then sprinkled Iridescent Ice embossing powder over that and used the heat gun.
I love the red and Kraft CS together and your little red bird really “pops” off the card. Would never have known you had a problem if you hadn’t mentioned it. Just proves as you said that you can usually fix any boo-boos that arise.
Thanks for sharing. Oh, I can’t choose a favorite between this card and the cute snow”girls”….I just can’t. LOL
