Here’s the first project made with my new toys from the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. Oh wait – I guess my New Baby Box was the first project.but that was pre-order stamps, so that doesn’t count.lol.
I made this one to go with the sketch challenge that I posted yesterday. I meant to post the card last night, but the evening got away from me.
Can you believe I didn’t use any ribbon on this card? I know – shocker! I actually would have loved to have used some Tempting Turquoise ribbon, but I don’t have any. But this did give me the opportunity to play with the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I can see lots of possibilities with this new punch. I hope Stampin’ Up! comes out with more like this in the future.
Next on the new list is the For Everything stamp set. This set is so sweet and whimsical. It’s going to be fun playing with this one. I can see some really tall sun flowers coming from this set. And did you see that sweet little butterfly? I had to use something in place of the bow from the sketch so that’s where he went.
And now – the paper. I always loved the prints from the Pawsitively Prints designer paper, which is still available by the way. But now, they’ve re-colored it with brighter, bolder colors in the new Pawsitively Prints II and it’s fabulous. The new Poppy Parade seems to be one of my favorite new colors. I can see me using bunches of that color. I’m glad the new In Colors are going to be around for 2 years instead of just one now.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend – try to stay cool! I hope you’ll join in on the sketch challenge.
Happy Stamping
