Well if you haven’t viewed the new 2010-2011 Holiday Mini Catalog yet, you’re in for a treat! Here’s a cute little card made with the new Merry Crittermas stamp set. This is such a sweet little set, full of all sorts of little woodland creatures decked out for the holidays.
If you zoom in, you should be able to see all of the sparkle on this little card! I used Smooch Spritz on the scalloped circle, designer label and the snowflake. I then used some of the Shimmer Paint on the textured snowflakes created by the new Northern Flurry Textured Embossing Folder on the Candy Cane Christmas designer paper.
Hope you like it!

It’s here! And with it comes so many new products, you won’t know what to order first! At the top of my list is the new fabric line that Stampin’ Up! has. Yes, you read that correctly. Stampin’ Up! has released two sets of fabric that coordinate perfectly with designer series papers! How awesome is that? Now you can combine your sewing with your paper crafts. Create a beautiful gift with the fabric and then make a matching card to go with it!
Check back later to see a cute card I made with some of the new goodies!

Today I’m back with the last card that the ladies at the Albemarle Nursing Home will be creating next month. This one is the simplest of the three. I try to vary the levels of difficulty for them. We don’t want them to get bored and only do super simple cards, but then we don’t want to overwhelm them with three difficult cards either.
The great thing about this one and the first one, they can change up the sentiment if they’d like since it uses the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and there are TONS of different sentiments in that set.
This one also uses the new Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which coordinates perfectly with this set. And although it’s not meant to go with it, I think the Beautiful Wings Embosslit butterfly goes with looks pretty darn good with it as well.
Below you can see all three of the cards they’ll be making! I think it’s a well rounded set!

Okay ya’ll – I absolutely need to get packing for my upcoming move. I am not a bad girl, I just wanna play with my new SU goodies and share with everyone! What would life be like without being able to inspire, create and share?

This card highlights the “Christmas Postcard” single stamp and the Candy Cane Christmas designer paper, both which will be available on September 1 from the Holiday mini catty.
This was an easy card to put together. The only thing that took a bit of time was coloring the images with various SU markers. Yes, that was a “me” thing!
I was so bummed about Glorious Green CS being retired, but I have found that I love the Garden Green CS too! Isn’t Stampin’ Up! fabulous? I am so glad that they keep a fresh outlook on their products and keep the new goodies coming out.

I know I told you last week that I would be showing you the other cards for the Albemarle Nursing Home, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to. However, today I’m showing you the next card in this set. It’s a relatively simple card but I love the way it turned out. This card is perfect for any masculine birthday and those just seem to be hard for me.
This month, the ladies at the nursing home will be playing with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and I’m sure they’re going to love it.
FYI – I CASED this card, but can’t find the info that I saved. So, if this looks like your card, please let me know so I can give proper credit. I just knew when I saw it that it would be perfect for them.
Hope you’re having a wonderful Monday. I’ll be back tomorrow with the last card of this set.

Sorry, that I have not posted to the blog lately, but I have been completely engrossed with the new house. If all goes as planned, my contractor says that I will have access to the studio and the rest of the second floor the 3rd week in September and the rest of the house the 3rd week in October. So needless to say, I have been super busy!
Before I pack up my stamping and crafting supplies, I wanted to make a few cards, so I started with several items from the upcoming holiday mini catalog.
This card highlights the new Bells and Boughs stamp set along with the new Deck the Halls designer paper. Both of these products will be available as of September 1.
I also used the recently released Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. How did I ever get along without Stampin’ Up!’s embossing folders? They really add lots of texture.
The upcoming holiday mini catalog is a "must have" for your upcoming holiday cards, scrapbooking and other projects. You will definitely go "ga-ga" over the new products being introduced.

Although this card has several layers, it’s really simple to make. For that very reason, the ladies at the Albemarle Nursing Home in Tarboro, NC will be making this very card next month.
This card uses the Watercolor Trio stamp set which is only available for a couple more days. the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog expires at the end of this month along with several fabulous stamp sets.
Watch over the next couple of days as I bring you the other cards that the talented ladies at the nursing home will be making. All of them utilize the same designer series paper used on this card, Elegant Soiree, but have very different looks. One of them has a masculine feel to it, so make sure you stay tuned.

August 23, 2010
Now that everyone around here is back in school, it feels like Summer is over However, with a heat index today of 107 degrees, I can tell you that I am ready for the cooler weather to get here. But, in honor of all the kiddies heading back to school, I decided to play with the too-cute stamp set, Greeting Card Kids by Stampin’ Up!. I absolutely LOVE this set. You can color these images so many different ways for different looks – and not to mention, their little clothes can also be paper pieced! I’m sure I’ll be trying that one in the future!
For this card, I used the papers from the Love Letters designer series paper set. When I first saw the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog, this paper pack didn’t strike my fancy. However, it grew on me and I decided to order it. I am so glad I did – it looks so much better than it does in the book. The prints are fun and I can see them being used for all sorts of different themes.
For the most part, my cards are the same. The only difference is that on two of them, I used the small polka dot paper in the corners. I can’t decide which one I like best..LOL.

Anyway – hope you like them. Happy Monday everyone!

Are you ready for the new 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog? It will be live in less than two weeks so I think it’s time to show you some of the wonderful items coming in the new catalog. First and foremost – I have to say that I am in love with the new Autumn Spice specialty designer series paper that I used in my cards today. This paper is just divine! I do believe that this will be one that I will have to order another pack or two just to have on hand for future projects – it’s that beautiful! I’m already sad that it’s in the Holiday Mini and not the big catalog because it’s going to retire sooner! It’s not even available to the public yet and I’m already fretting over when it retires! Sheesh! Did I mention that I love, Love, LOVE this paper?![20100815_CARDScrapsSketchChallenge_thumb1[1] 20100815_CARDScrapsSketchChallenge_thumb1[1]](http://www.cardscraps.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/20100815_CARDScrapsSketchChallenge_thumb11.jpg)
Before I forget, I created this card using the sketch from the August 2010 Sketch Challenge which is going on now. One random participant will win the Funky Four stamp set. Click here for more details.
Do you see that spectacular medallion behind my sentiment? Well that and the sentiment is from the new Day of Gratitude stamp set that coordinates with the Autumn Spice designer paper – and it’s part of Shelli’s Signature Collection – so you know the whole set is breathtaking! I used the Stampin’ Write Markers directly on the stamps to make each of the elements really pop!
You can click on the images to view them larger if you’d like.

And last but not least, here is a view of the inside of the card. You can see that the bottom of the interior actually shows when the card is closed as well. The main interior is just white though – ready for a handwritten or stamped sentiment.
