Here Comes the Easter Bunny!

I wanted to do a quick blog post to let you know that I am still alive and kicking and getting ready for the Easter Bunny!

Brenda Cook, CARDScraps, Stampin' Up!, Chocolate Bunny, Easter, SpringI was in a spring mood yesterday – will it ever get here?  Anyway, I whipped up these little goodies to set out for pretty.

I used the Chocolate Bunny stamp set and made a few bunnies for the bucket. I also decorated some plastic eggs using the rubons and bling from the Eggcellent Eggs kit on page 23 of the Occasions mini catty.

On the spring flowers tree, I used various Stampin’ Up! designer papers, punches and several of the Sizzix dies and the Big Shot.

I changed my outside decorative flags today. I took down my snowbirds and put up my Happy Easter flags. I am “past ready” for the snow and rain to be out of here.

Spring – bring it on!

Chocolate Bunny, Solid Stripes, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Stampin' Up!, CARDScraps, Brenda Cook, Easter, handmade card
I know..I know..it is too early for Easter, but the Chocolate Bunny single stamp from the Occasions mini catalog was begging for my attention! I also tried out my first Mojo Monday sketch challenge with this card.

Cardscraps How I Did It Tutorial Header

Chocolate Bunny, Solid Stripes, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Stampin' Up!, CARDScraps, Brenda Cook, Easter, handmade card First, I cut my paper. I chose Pretty in Pink for the card base. Then I cut a piece of Barely Banana and Whisper White, each at 3-3/4″ x 5".” Then I did my stamping on Whisper White scraps. I also used scraps for the punched striped square, scalloped oval and the large oval.

Next, I used the Big Shot and the Petals a Plenty Texture folder on the Whisper White and used the Polka Dots Texture Folder on the Bashful Blue oval. Then I rubbed (with my fingers) the Stampin’ Pastels over the flowers. Don’t worry, your fingers will come clean with some soap and water!

Next, you will need to cut your ribbon and thread your buttons. Then start playing around with positioning your components and then start adhering everything layer by layer. I used dimensionals under the bunny and a glue dot under the buttons.
