Happy hump day everyone! Hope your week is going wonderful. We’re half way through the week and under a heat advisory down here in the south (SC) so it’s a fabulous day to stay inside where it’s cool and make cards.
Here’s a card I made yesterday for my oldest god son’s 16th birthday which is coming up next week. The Travel Journal designer paper I used couldn’t have been more perfect. He’s an Auburn fan just like his dad, so the orange and blue was fitting. You can get the Travel Journal paper in the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog which is available only until the end of August. The map paper included is awesome since his first priority is to get his driver’s license.hence the reason for the truck!
I decided to make it a spinner card just for the fun of it. I think I used the same stamp set for his birthday last year, although it looked much different. It’s just a great set for masculine and boy cards. In case you were wondering exactly what the card does, I included a video below. It’s short and sweet and the lighting isn’t all that great, but I think it will show you how a spinner card works.
If you have any questions, just let me know.
Also – don’t forget that there are a little less than 2 days left in the monthly sketch challenge blog candy. Hope you’ll participate!

With all of the snowstorms happening lately here in the US, it’s no wonder I’m starting to long for Spring. Just last weekend, we had 6″ of snow here around Charleston, SC. I know you’re thinking that 6″ of snow isn’t that big of a deal, but we only get snow about once every 10 years so this was a huge deal to us. Our power was out for almost 24 hours and some people were without power for 72 hours. Anyway, just a week later and we have 70 degree temps and I’m running around in shorts. So YES, can you say Spring fever?
Today I’m showcasing a card I created using the Flower for All Seasons stamp set. This is actually a stepped up version of a card that I designed for Brenda to teach the ladies at the nursing home in March.
We’re starting something new here at CARDScraps – Project Sheets! What are Project Sheets, you ask? Well, Project Sheets are downloadable, printable instructions to create the projects we’re showing. Not all of the projects and cards we show will have project sheets, but we’re going to try our best to give you tons of instant downloadable inspiration!
We’ve created a new section in our Resources just for our Project Sheets. Right now, there is only one in there and it just so happens to be for this card. You can check it out and download it using the link at the bottom of this post.
Something else I’d love for you to check out is our new video channels! We now have our own channel at Vimeo and YouTube. You can subscribe to our video channels on either one as we’ll be uploading to both of them in the future.
I’m also very excited to announce that both Brenda and I are making videos now. Brenda had been making them all by herself and I finally got my camera setup so that I could do some too. So far I’ve added 3 new videos to our Videos section (and both video channels). The latest one actually shows you a super fast way to make the cute bow I have on today’s card which I’ve included below. For those of you reading via email subscription or RSS reader will need to click through to view the video.
So, I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post. I know it’s been a little while since our last post, but as you can see, we’ve been super busy behind the scenes! If you have any questions, just let us know.
Before we start talking about Brenda’s newest video tutorial, I wanted to give you all a heads up that tomorrow, the new Stampin’ Up! catalog will go live. I hope you’re excited as we are as there are some fabulous new stamp sets and products coming out along with the fabulous new In ColorsT. If you have a catalog, you can begin ordering at 2:00 pm (ET). If you need a catalog, contact us today!
Now.on to Brenda’s video!

You’re getting a real treat this time with Brenda’s new video as it includes a sneak peak at two new stamp sets, a new designer series paper and two of the the new In Colors! How’s that for a sneak peak?
Brenda used the Circle Circus stamp set which has some very cool circular motifs in different sizes perfect for the different circle punches that Stampin’ Up!T carries. The other stamp set she used was the new Teeny Tiny Wishes which includes a whopping 24 different sentiment stamps. They cover just about every occasion you can think of. These would be fabulous with the Word Window punch or even the new Modern Label punch.
Now for the papers! Here you can see one pattern of the new designer series paper called Tall Tales. It’s a funky retro paper with trees and animals in fabulous bright colors. Brenda has paired it up with two of the new In Colors – Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry. Don’t you just love the color names?

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla card stocks and Tall Tales DSP

Brenda has recorded another video for us and shows off how to make this adorable card using the Big Shot and the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die.
Don’t mind the phone ringing in the video..it seems that she forgot to turn off the ringer and of course, it has to ring during the video !
We’d love to receive your feedback on the videos so feel free to leave a comment. If you’re reading this via email or through a rss reader, you’ll need to click through to the blog to view the video.
