One of the things that I set out to do when I was drooling over all of the SU! stamps and spending $$$ like crazy...was to pick out stamps that would be used the most, such as Happy Birthday, Get Well, etc. I was specifically looking for sentiments to stamp on the front of the cards.
So, I discovered the SU! fonts CD in the SU! catalog and my wheels started turning. I called SU! support and was informed that they were not TTFs (true type fonts), which is really what my first choice would be as they can be enlarged without losing any clarity. Well, I purchased the CD anyway!
I received it today and installed it on my computer and was pleasantly surprised when I tested their legibility when enlarging each of the 10 fonts. I enlarged them to 50 pt type size on each font, as this is probably the largest I would use for any card front, printed them out, and all of them looked great.
They were extremely easy to install and they are now resident fonts that have been added to my font stash and available in all of my programs!
They are mostly handwriting type fonts. I believe that these fonts can be put to good use by printing them on rub-on sheets, transparencies, vellum and even cardstock for future use or when you are making a bunch of like cards at the same time. Imagine having a sheet of sentiments ready to use at those times when you are in a rush!
CONCLUSION: This was a good buy, as I now have 10 new SU! fonts to choose from for my card front sentiments, inside sentiments and journaling. WOOHOO!
