Lightbulb Pedaling Past - A Summer Mini Sneak Peak

I created this card using the Sketch Challenge that I posted yesterday.  You’re getting a peak at a few of the new products that are coming in the Summer Mini Catalog which will debut on May 1.  The bicycle is from the Pedaling Past stamp set which has this stamp, a bicycle built for two, a tricycle and a couple of other stamps.  All of them have a very vintage and retro feel to them.  At first glance, I wasn’t sure I’d like this stamp set but it I kept going back to it as I was definitely drawn to it.

Click on the images to enlarge them and get a better view.  Also, I have created a Project Sheet for this card which you can download by going to our Resources -> Project Sheets section.

You’re definitely going to want to check out the texture on the next shot.  Can you believe that is Kraft card stock between the Real Red and Soft Suede?  It sure is.  That’s the new Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder.  to me, it’s like a basket weave design and reminds me a little bit of burlap.  Especially once I used the new Log Cabin Smooch Spritz!  There are going to be four colors of Smooch Spritz in the new catalog:  Log Cabin (used here), Gold Glow, Silver Foil and Vanilla Shimmer.  They are pearlized and allow you to spray on a little bit of color to your projects.  Spray them on thin or thick depending on your preference.  I wasn’t able to capture the shimmer of the Smooch Spritz with my camera, but you can definitely see it in real life – especially on the larger splotches!

I didn’t add a sentiment to this card, but I think it would be a great Father’s Day or Grandparent’s Day card – how about a masculine birthday?  I plan on using this one for the Masculine card swap coming up here at CARDScraps.  You have plenty of time to get your card ready as this one’s signup deadline isn’t until June 6th!  I hope to see you participate.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping
