I wanted to give you an update on my new house. It doesn’t look like much has changed since the last time, but the pace has not slowed down. I am ready to see some brick and stone on this baby!
The new spa arrived several weeks ago. The electrical and plumbing rough in has been completed and the roofers worked all week. The security and surround system preliminaries are also done. The mechanical contractors have been doing their rough in work and will be working this weekend. They also started the detached garage.

I went shopping last week at Furnitureland South (this is a huge place) and ordered a bedroom set, living room set and dining room set. That was really cool, but I was in “heaven” when I visited Hobby Lobby for the very first time and I just had to buy a few things. I found this distressed chalkboard and just knew that it would go great in the new studio to list upcoming events. I brought it home and washed off the board – you can see my cleanup efforts in the photo – it had not dried yet. Now I need to find some colored chalks and an eraser.
Next week, they will start laying stone and completing the shingles. My contractor told me today that they will also be installing the foam insulation. Hopefully in a couple of weeks they will be putting up the drywalls. Once the walls go up, I will make a few videos for your viewing pleasure.
