It’s been relatively quiet lately, I know.  Well, I’m back to show you my latest project.  You may remember that last before last Christmas, Brenda and I made purses using the Big Shot in cute Christmas fabrics and then I made a few additional ones for my daughter and her grand daughters for Christmas.  I’ve wanted to make more, but it seems that a lot of people are making those same purses, so I wanted to try something a bit different.

So just added to the
store, in all it’s glory – my very first Big Shot Denim Tote Bag.  I created this using a pair of reclaimed denim jeans and some fabric I had (love the print).   I used the Big Shot and the Scalloped Square and Island Floral dies.
This is a view of it closed – the sides are gathered in by the straps.  You can see a view of it open further down.  Plus – if you look at the Additional Images tab in the
store, you can see about 10 different views – including the interior of the bag!
This bag looked very cute when I got finished sewing it, but the it really became extraordinary after it went through the washer and dryer to ruffle and fray all of the edges.
It’s one of a kind – for two reasons really.  First, every pair of jeans is different and will fade differently.  Second, I am now out of the too cute fabric that I used here.  I had just enough!
So, I hope you like my tote bag – I’m sure you’ll see more of these in my future.  My mother is already begging for one.

I think it’s perfect to toss in your computer and go – mom wants one to use as an everyday purse!
