Can you believe that it’s already Friday?  This week flew by so fast.  Here it is the end of the week and I’m just now posting my
Mojo Monday card.  Actually, I did another card earlier this week using this sketch, but I really wasn’t happy with it.  So yesterday, I figured I’d give it another shot and this is what I came up with.
Be sure to click on each image to see the larger version.  Something really gets lost in these smaller renditions, I think.  All of the shimmers and sparkles just don’t show up well small.
The ornament in the corner was fun to make.  Simple emboss and punch out 3 of the ornaments.  Score each one vertically in half and attach them together.  I think it make an adorable dimensional embellishment for the card.  You can also add a fourth one and make it into a cute little hanging Christmas ornament.
Although it’s hard to see, I stamped one of the snowflake stamps from Snow Swirled onto the Blushing Bride background using Frost White Shimmer Paint.  It really dressed up the plain background but doesn’t stand out too much and overpower the rest of the card.

For the inside of the card, I simply glued a small strip of the Candy Cane specialty designer paper to a strip of Baja Breeze card stock and attached it over a stamped snowflake.  Cute little surprise for the inside.
There was a challenge this week in one of the yahoo groups I’m in (
Late Nite Stampers).  Option 1 was to use a current In Color.  Option 2 was to use only In Colors.  Obviously I chose option 1 on this one.  To be honest, I don’t think I could create a card using only In Colors even though they coordinate beautifully!
Also, I’m going to be using this card for one of the card swaps going on here at CARDScraps.  It’s the
Embossed or Glittered Christmas card swap.  I have two different types of embossing and glitter on this one, so I made sure I covered my bases.lol.  We would love to have you join in on some of the swaps.  They are open to everyone.  All you have to do is sign up and send in your swap!  Since this particular swap only requires you to send one card, it’s easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Stamping
