Although I’ve always felt that giving gift cards or money requires very little to no thought when it comes to gift giving, more often than not, it is the perfect gift.  Especially for teens or that hard-to-shop-for friend or family member.  So with that in mind, I have created a couple of different gift card/money holders for you.
Brenda will be demonstrating this card next month at the Albemarle Nursing Home.  To keep it simple for them, they won’t be sewing on any buttons – they will just have the snowflakes to glue on.
This is a very simple card that would be simple to mass produce for regular greeting cards.  I really like the color pallet on this one – of course, I like the Crumb Cake with just about everything!
The gift card portion on the inside is super simple to make.  Start with a piece of 4-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ card stock.  Score at 3-3/4″, 5-1/4″, and 6-3/4″.  The center  score line should be folded into a mountain fold and the two side score lines should be folded into valley folds.  Use the Word Window Punch on the Mountain fold about 1/4″ from each edges.  Then use half of the 1″ Circle Punch in the center.  Fold it all and glue into the card – just be sure you don’t use any glue on the center section where the gift card goes or you won’t be able to get the gift card in there.
If you have any questions, just let me know.  Hope you have a wonderful day!
