Is everyone gearing up for the holiday season?  I went to Wal-mart the other day and it was already decked out with all of the Christmas decor, so I guess the holiday season has officially began.  Now I don’t have to feel so guilty about posting Christmas cards.lol.
Today’s card is another one that the ladies at the nursing home will be making next month.  It’s another gift card holder, but you could easily tuck anything else in the little pocket.  Money, savings bonds, theatre tickets, etc.  I created the card using a piece of 12″ card stock so that I could have a standard size card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) with a folded bottom flap.  I started with a 12″ x 4-1/4″ piece.  I scored it at 4-1/4″ and 9-3/4″ which gives me a 2-1/4″ pocket.  You can tell better in the below picture that the front flap does not go all the way to the bottom.  I placed a piece of red scalloped card stock cut using the
Tasteful Trim die on the bottom to dress up the edge (see how the right card is sitting inside the left card?)
I used the
Northern Frost die to create the beautiful snowflake embellishment in the top left corner.  I tried it with a little rhinestone in the center that I got from a big box store, as well as a pretty pearl.  I think I like the pearl the best
