I know – the heat from Valentine’s Day hasn’t even cooled and I’m already posting Easter cards.  Actually, the ladies at the nursing home have requested that their next class in March be all Easter cards, so I have been coming up with designs for them.

This, although still very simple, is a stepped up version of the card they will be creating.  I used the Framed Tulips embossing folder for the border.  This is the first time I’ve used it and just like all of the other embossing folders, I love it.  I think if there is any one thing that card makers need to add to their stash, it’s the
Big Shot and embossing folders.  I just love their instant texture.
If you look closely at the next shot, you’ll see that I made two different versions of this card.  One of them I sponged the edges with some Creamy Caramel ink to give it  more vintage look.  I can’t decide which one I like better – what do you think?  Click on the images to view them a bit larger.  From this angle it’s hard to see the three little pearls that I have up in the top right corner, but they are pretty noticeable on the card itself.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post – sorry it’s so short, but I have to get ready to go to darts tonight. Have a wonderful evening!
Happy Stamping
