See, I told you I’d be back today to show you my rendition of the
sketch challenge.  This card is actually a stepped up version of the card that our
Stamp Club Members will be making next month.  It’s not stepped up too much, I just added a little bit of dimension to it is all.
I love the colors in this card and the
Create a Cupcake stamp set and
Build a Cupcake Punch are going to be sitting in my cubby of favorite sets to reach for when it comes to making birthday cards.  I know cupcakes are very popular right now, so that may have something to do with it, but I just can’t get enough of this little cutie!
I’m sorry if the color looks a bit off – my lighting for my pictures has changed – and not for the better.  I will hopefully have this remedied next month.  But for now – just know that there is nothing wrong with your monitor, or my camera.just the lighting.
I embossed two lines of stitching on the card using
White Embossing Powder.  These are from the
In Stitches Wheel that I disassembled.  You can see more info on that in a
previous post.
Here’s a close-up of the cupcake.  For the bottom layer of the cupcake top, I flipped it backwards so that the scallops were facing the opposite direction.  I thought this gave it a cute look.  To make the two different layers stand out a bit more, I sponged the edges with Regal Rose ink.
I hope you liked my sketch challenge card – we’d love to see you participate in this!  Until next time!
Happy Stamping
