Completed Card Due: April 30, 2009 – Your assigned recipients' name and mailing info will arrive in your Build A Card Mystery Swap envelope.

The Build a Card Mystery Swap will be a great way to re-vitalize your card making skills. I will send you the components to “build a card.” You will use any or all of those pieces to create a card. You may also use any extra items that you have on hand to complete the card, if you believe it is needed. Feel free to utilize any technique that will enhance your finished card. You may also maneuver the provided components in any manner you wish. Be creative and have FUN!

The main focus is to have a hand-stamped card and then you build upon that using any or all of the components that I send you. Think about how you want the card to end up. Try to use as many of the components as you can, but don’t make it where it ends up looking cluttered.

Some of the items that I send you may consist of cardstock, patterned paper, ribbons, buttons, fibers, brads, eyelets, beads, bling, and so forth.

You will mail your completed card to arrive to your assigned person no later than April 20, 2009, which I will provide the mailing info when I send you the components. You will need to come back to this thread and post as to the date that you mailed your card out.

The cost for this swap will be $2.00, USD + 3 (three) first class postage stamps and 1 (one) 6x9 envelope. You will be responsible for mailing your completed card to your assigned person.

Your SASE and money should arrive at my address no later March 23, 2009. If you do not have my mailing address, please contact me, via email at brenda @ cardscraps .com. Late arrivals will be returned, marked “Return to Sender.”

Make sure that you scan or take a photo of your card, so that you can post it in the gallery later.

Once you have received your swap, please denote the receipt date in this thread. Then the creator may post their card in this gallery: http://www.cardscraps.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/510 Be sure to denote Mystery Swap in your posting subject line and in the Keywords section - denote Mystery Swap and BAC3_4_2009 and then come back to this thread and post your link so that we all may enjoy your card creation.

Please sign me up for this card swap. This sounds like great fun. I have to have components for a card, and a card with a stamped image on it mailed out to you by March 23rd. As well, I need to include an envelope with 3 stamps on it and $2.00? Please make sure I am clear on the directions. If not, please make it clear for me. I am having some trouble with the reading of things and understanding everything because of my illnesses. So, you may see me asking you more about swaps especially if they have more detailed and/or different directions than usually. I hope you don't mind helping me out? Also, wanted to let you know that I got my box of goodies from Stampin Up on Tuesday. Thank you.

Brenda, I received my packet of goodies this past week. Wow! Lots of fun things in it to work with.

Good thing it came when it did as I have a snow fortress around my home at the moment. Drifts are up to 7 feet high and Harold is still snowed in at work.
All highways in SW Kansas are still closed. UGH! LOL
